Community Guidelines

DO:

• Address others respectfully, even when you disagree
• Focus on the argument, not the person making it
• Use clear, professional language in all discussions
• Acknowledge good points made by others
• Ask clarifying questions before assuming intent

DON'T:

• Use personal insults or ad hominem attacks
• Mock, belittle, or demean other members
• Use sarcasm in ways that could be hurtful
• Dismiss others' perspectives without consideration

The following behaviors are prohibited:

• Harassment: Repeated unwanted contact, following, or targeting of individuals
• Bullying: Intimidation, threats, or patterns of aggressive behavior
• Stalking: Monitoring or tracking someone's activity without consent
• Doxxing: Sharing personal information (address, phone, workplace) without consent
• Coordinated attacks: Organizing groups to target individuals
• Threats: Direct or implied threats of violence or harm

The following content is not allowed:

• Profanity & vulgar language: Excessive profanity, crude language, or vulgar expressions
• Sexual content: Sexually explicit material, suggestive content, or sexual harassment
• Graphic violence: Depictions of gore, violence, or disturbing imagery
• Illegal activity: Content promoting or facilitating illegal activities
• Self-harm: Content glorifying or encouraging self-harm or suicide

As a platform for critical thinking and logical reasoning, we expect:

• Cite sources: Provide references for factual claims when possible
• Acknowledge uncertainty: Be honest when you're speculating vs. stating facts
• No plagiarism: Credit others' ideas and don't claim them as your own
• Good faith arguments: Engage honestly; don't use strawman or bad-faith tactics
• Correct mistakes: If you're shown to be wrong, acknowledge it gracefully

• Don't share others' personal information without consent
• Don't screenshot private messages to share publicly
• Respect confidentiality in learning circles and teams
• Don't impersonate others or create fake accounts
• Report suspicious accounts or activity to moderators

• Don't spam repetitive content or off-topic promotions
• Don't use SYMCUE primarily for advertising or sales
• Affiliate links and promotional content require disclosure
• AI-generated spam or automated posting is prohibited
• Sharing relevant resources is welcome; excessive self-promotion is not

If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines:

1. Use the Report button on any content to flag it for review
2. Don't engage with trolls or bad-faith actors
3. Contact moderators for urgent issues at moderation@symcue.com
4. Provide context when reporting to help us understand the situation

Thank you for reporting! Reports are reviewed within 24-48 hours. Your identity as a reporter is kept confidential.

Violations are handled based on severity:
